Splendid red wine produced using the classic "on-the-skins" vinification followed by approx 12 days of maceration and subsequent fermentation in vats. The wine is then aged in French and American barriques for a period of 18 months before a final 12 months in the bottle. From the perfect tone of the deep ruby purple, to the olfactory notes of tobacco with hints of black pepper, vanilla and liquorice. The perfect balance of tannins with a persistent finish of spicy notes render this wine the ideal partner for red meats, game, as well as both blue and mature cheeses.
