Returns ‘La Primavera del Prosecco’ (‘The Spring of Prosecco’) where wine cellars are working in synergy with one another, with restaurant owners, and with hotelliers to promote wine tourism throughout the territories of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano.

An important honor was bestowed upon the area in 2016 when it was awarded the title “European city of wine culture.” It was inaugurated at a ribbon cutting which took place March 12 in Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene; followed by another 16 stages in the various villages and hamlets throughout this wine country, including the historic seat of Follador, Col San Martino, which this year will host the traditional Exhibition of Valdobbiadene DOCG now in its 60th edition.

The calendar of events is rich and varied, with different events for cultural, recreational and gastronomic interests. There will be15 wine exhibitions and various seminars and conferences. But many will simply choose to take a leisurely hike along one of the many suggested paths, admiring the beauty of the landscape dotted with vineyards and rediscovering traditional dishes in the many local taverns.

Every Saturday morning there will be a “Prosecco Tour,” with shuttle and escort service including stops in many of the famous cellars. For those who enjoy sports activities, options include the ride along 100 km of horse trails in the Alpine foothills, the cycling routes, trekking, and Nordic walking suitable for everyone. They are also the usual plans for annual cycling races, which attract numerous athletes and their families.

The paths for winding one’s way throughout the DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene are natrually privileged.
