Another gold for Follador Prosecco at the Vinoway Wine Selection 2022 “The best wines of Italy”

07/10/2021

The latest success for the Follador family comes with RUIOL CASTEI – Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Millesimato D.O.C.G. Extra Dry, one of Veneto’s finest wines which, after being named Champion of the World 2020, continues to garner prizes in major international competitions.

Follador Prosecco dal 1769 has hardly had time to finish celebrating its recent top rating from Wine Enthusiast before raising its glass once again to toast the gold awarded at the Vinoway Wine Selection 2022 “The Best Wines of Italy”, the event dubbed the most glamorous in the world of Italian wine, which has just taken place in Bari.

The wine which competed against over 4000 wines to earn the gold, with a score of 94/100, was RUIOL CASTEI – Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Millesimato D.O.C.G. Extra Dry, already named World Champion at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2020, the most important international champagne and sparkling wine competition.

With newly restyled artwork, RUIOL CASTEI conjures up images of the ancient strongholds of Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, testimony of a long history which the Follador family has passionately preserved and protected for nine generations.

The wine, with its finely balanced flavours, embodies the unique character of the hills it comes from, in the heart of the Prosecco production area, where the favourable conditions of the microclimate combine with exceptional mineral notes and a particularly clayey and chalky soil.

“Our whole family is immensely proud of RUIOL CASTEI – said Cristina Follador, the company’s Sales & Marketing Director – and thanks to our Gianfranco Follador® Method, we will continue to keep the bar high for our wine lovers”.

The company has always been at the forefront of innovation, while remaining faithful to a very Italian tradition which began in 1769, when its ancestor Giovanni Follador decided to convert all the land he owned into vineyards.

Since then, meticulous selection of the best grapes, careful monitoring of the entire production chain and its quality, endorsed by consumers the world over, have made Follador Prosecco an ambassador of fine Italian wines.
